Alice Cooper Launches Satirical US Presidential Campaign
Rock legend Alice Cooper has launched a satirical campaign for the US presidency. “I have absolutely no idea what to do, so I should fit right in,” admitted Cooper. This marks another humorous bid for the White House, a tradition Cooper has upheld since the release of his 1972 hit single, ‘Elected.’ Fans and members of his Wild Party are encouraged to sign up for updates on the campaign’s activities at AliceForPresident.com. Cooper’s previous political antics included a simultaneous run for US president and UK prime minister in 2016. This campaign included whimsical promises like adding Lemmy to Mt. Rushmore and featuring Peter Sellers on the £20 note. In his latest campaign video, Cooper introduces himself as “a troubled man for troubled times.”
