West Indies vs. Afghanistan free live stream: How to watch ICC T20 Cricket World Cup matches for free in US and Canada | Sporting News

West Indies and Afghanistan will face off in the final match of what has been an intriguing Group C contest at the 2024 T20 Cricket World Cup at Daren Sammy Cricket Ground on Monday.

Both sides have already booked their spot in the Super 8 stage, and will be looking to keep building momentum with a victory here.

Last time out against New Zealand, the co-hosting Windies looked to be in deep trouble at 22-4, when Sherfane Rutherford came to the crease, and things did not improve when they slumped to 30-5 and then 76-7. However, Rutherford kept his cool and hit a sublime unbeaten 68 to lift West Indies to 149-9 in Trinidad.

That proved plenty on a two-paced surface, as New Zealand fell 13 runs short in the chase and West Indies booked their place in the second phase.

Afghanistan, meanwhile, came into the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 as a potential dark horse following an impressive ODI World Cup campaign in India. And it’s safe to say that they have more than delivered on that promise so far, having brushed past minnow nations Uganda and Papua New Guinea while also dealing a killer blow to New Zealand, who were sent home packing prematurely
