Online Casino App Over-Retained Users’ Biometric Data, Suit Says
Online gaming platform ARB Gaming LLC violated Illinois’ Biometric Information Privacy Act when it collected, retained, and disclosed thousands of its users’ face templates to third-parties, a proposed class action says.
To play games and receive winnings on the platform, users of ARB Gaming, which does business as Modo.US, need to upload their government identification card along with a selfie, according to the complaint filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
