PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled Aug. 19 in Wood County Magistrate Court:

* James A. Manley, 712 Morgantown Ave. Fairmont, pleaded guilty to speeding (69 mph in a 65 mph zone) and fined $181.48.

* Devin Michael Butcher, 136 Chateau Hills, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to obstructing officers while boating and fined $196.48.

* Derek Burton Taylor, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of petit larceny and held on $500 bond.

* Misty D. Atkinson, 3505 Sixth Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of driving on a suspended license, having an expired motor vehicle inspection and released on $1,500 bond.

* Justin Gregory Williams, 407 Locust Court, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of felony escape and six counts of fraudulent use of an access device and held on $100,000 bond.

* Robin Michael Plauche, 1160 12th St., Apt. 14, Vienna, was arraigned on charges of hit and run, having no proof of insurance and released on $3,000 bond.

* Nicholas Lee Wood, 2039 Flatwoods Road, Ravenswood, was arraigned on charges of obstruction, driving on a suspended license, possession of a controlled substance, failure to report an accident and released on $2,000 bond.

* Jesse Leon Kersey III, 1304 Camden Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to violating a protective order, fined $426.48 and sentenced to 15 days in jail which was ruled as time served.

* Benjamin Ray Barber, 1085 Cedar Grove Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor violation of a protective order, fined $426.48 and sentenced to 45 days in jail which was ruled as time served. The sentence will run concurrent with a felony charge from Wood County Circuit Court.

* Eden Nicole Pennington, 3998 Butcher Bend Road, Mineral Wells, had a charge of speeding in a school zone dismissed with prejudice.

* Matthew James Morris, 70 Thorn St., Parkersburg, had a charge of obstructing DNR dismissed as further investigation is needed.

* Lacey Vivian Coen, 2 Valley View Drive, Vienna, had a charge of child neglect dismissed as part of a deferred sentence of 12 months. All of the requirements were met. She was given 25 hours of community service with proof of completion required by the court.

* Eric Wayne Tennant, c/o 26 Rubins Court, Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived for a charge of manufacture or possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver a Schedule I or II narcotic or methamphetamine. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Preston Keith Miller, 934 Swann St., Apt. 2, Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on three counts of gross neglect of a child creating a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.

PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled Aug. 20 in Wood County Magistrate Court:

* William Roland Talkington, 935 Swann St., Apt. A, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to petit larceny, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 30 days in jail with a credit of 11 days for time served. He had a charge of receiving/transferring stolen goods dismissed after the alleged victim failed to appear in court.

* Kevin Matthew Dowler, 807 Myrtle St., Parkersburg, had charges of fraudulent motor vehicle inspection, possession of methamphetamine, having no proof of insurance and possession of a controlled substance dismissed.

* Kaleb Ryan William Scott, 3612 Packard St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to destruction of property, fined $211.48 and sentenced to 30 days in jail with a credit of seven days for time served. He was ordered to pay a $3,200 restitution to Dutch Barn Builders.

* Robert Vernon Dressel, c/o 4538 Ridge Road, Barnhart, Mo., pleaded guilty to obstruction with threats of harm, battery of government representatives, health care providers, utility workers or law enforcement or EMS, fined $412.96 and sentenced to 60 days in jail which was suspended for one year of unsupervised probation with a credit of four days served. He had charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Amber Dawn Powell, 509 Ward St., Parkersburg, had a charge of obstruction with threats of harm dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Aaron Lee Davis, 2833 Meadville Road, Davisville, had charges of driving on a suspended license and no MVI dismissed after proof was provided to the court.

* Katie Lynne Merrill, 1014 25th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of violating a protective order and released on $1,000 bond.

* Bridgete Marie Jackson, 34 Kings Row Court, Lot 8, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of driving on a suspended license (two counts) and having no insurance (two counts) and released on $1,000 bond.

* Charles D. Reitmire, 11533 Dupont Road, Washington, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and released on $1,000 bond.

* David Lee Rowe Jr., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of attempted petit larceny, attempted destruction of property, possession of a controlled substance, shoplifting and public intoxication and held on $1,000 bond.

* Mark A. Harvey, 6 134th St., Chesapeake, W.Va., pleaded guilty to speeding (10 mph or less in excess on highway) and fined $181.48.

* Benjamin D. Liebermann, 585 Madison Trail, Doylestown, Ohio, pleaded guilty to speeding (10 mph or less in excess on highway) and fined $181.48.

* Scott H. Uy, 2518 Kay Lane, Charleston, pleaded guilty to speeding (10 mph or less in excess on highway) and fined $181.48.

* Aaron Michael Romans, 2407 Rockland Ave., Belpre, pleaded guilty to having no operator’s license, having no proof of insurance and fined $557.96.

* Richard P. Riley, 516 Broadway Ave., Apt. C, Bridgeport, pleaded guilty to speeding (69 mph in a 65 mph zone) and fined $181.48.

* Jaidon Levi Lusk, 289 Hickory Heights Road, Mineral Wells, pleaded no contest to speeding (64 mph in a 45 mph zone) and fined $181.48. A charge of having no insurance was dismissed after proof was provided to the court.
