North Carolina and State Farm team up for car seat safety event in Jacksonville

Free car seat safety event in Jacksonville offers installation help and demonstrations.

North Carolina and State Farm have announced a Good Neighbor Car Seat Safety Event in Jacksonville on Saturday, September 21 from 10:00am – 1:00pm. The event aims to provide parents and caregivers with critical resources and tools to ensure their child’s safety on the road.

The event is free and open to the public and child safety seats will be available on-site. To be eligible for a new car seat, children must be present to ensure proper seat selection and fitting by trained technicians. The event will also include a hot car demonstration.

Reportedly car crashes are a leading cause of death for children in the U.S., but properly installed car seats can reduce the risk of fatal injury by 71% for infants and 54% for toddlers.
