LA Knight Pledges his ‘allegiance to the United States Champion’ during his assessment of Andrade after retaining victory | WWE News – Times of India

In the latest episode of SmackDown, LA Knight has defended his United States Championship against Andrade in a high-octane match. While both the superstars shook hands after the end of the match showing respect, Knight’s post-match conversation revealed that he has always intended to retain the belt. Knight who is one of the most popular and fan-favorite superstars in the roaster right now, gave his assessment of Andrade.

LA Knight’s assessment of Andrade

LA Knight and Andrade’s match for United States Champion in SmackDown was thrilling as both the superstars pushed each other to the edge of their prowess.Although Knight retained his championship, he acknowledged that Andrade was tough and he came close to losing the gold. “Well, let me talk to you. I’ll tell you what my assessment is,” Knight said in a backstage interview. “You talk about Andrade, you talk about a guy who is double tough. I can’t deny that. Here’s the thing. Look, this is such a game out there, you could say it’s a game of inches, you could say it’s a game of chances,” he acknowledged.

“You could damn sure say you’re playing roulette out there. Things almost didn’t go my way. It was this close. I mean, you’re talking the short and curlies here. And the deal is, look, if I don’t catch you with the one, you bet I’ll catch you with the other. And that’s exactly what happened. Little BFT for your trouble,” the champion continued. “So any night, any man can come out on top, but believe this, every single night, it’s gonna be LA night. Now look what I think little chirping Melo was running around saying, it would be a different outcome if he was in the match?”

Knight further teased that there would not be any chance for a rematch as “story’s already been told.” Knight added, “You lose, you blew it every time. And nothing changes there. So I tell you what, you guys have a little fun. I’m gonna go on moving on like I always do, hit it and quit it.”
The champion further assured fans that “nobody, and I’m telling you, nobody, can take this thing off of me” for a simple reason “because I pledge allegiance to the champ of the United States of America.”
LA Knight previously defeated Logan Paul at SummerSlam, 2024 to secure the United States championship and he has been defending the title more than Paul did during his reign.
