Fed speak, key consumer data, China unveils stimulus package: Yahoo Finance

U.S. stocks are on the move this morning as markets react to comments from Federal Reserve Governors Michelle W. Bowman and Adriana Kugler. Investors are looking to their remarks for clues about the Fed’s stance on its monetary easing trajectory. The comments come amid the release of key economic data, the September reading of consumer confidence.
Chinese stocks rallied overnight after the country’s central bank released of a stimulus package aimed at boosting its economy. This is the second largest package since the measures taken during the pandemic. Yahoo Finance trending tickers include Baidu (BIDU), Nio Inc. (NIO), and Tesla (TSLA).
