In addition, Austin is one of the three sprint format races, which will make it difficult to test all these improvements, as there is only one hour of free practice, as opposed to a normal format, which has three sessions.

It is 5.513 kilometres long, spread over 20 turns, 11 of which are left-handers and 9 right-handers. The track is 15 metres wide and its longest straight is 1200m long.

Moreover, the construction of the Circuit of The Americas is no coincidence: Tilke was inspired by different circuits around the world. Turns 3 to 6 resemble the fast corners at Silverstone or Suzuka. Turns 12 to 15, on the other hand, emulate the stadium area of Hockenheim.
