The Most Iconic Brands Involved in the UK iGaming Industry

There are hundreds of casino sites now operating online.

For a company to get ahead of the competition, a recognisable brand name gives a distinct advantage.

Some of the most well-known brands now provide online casinos in the United Kingdom.

You may not even associate some of them with gambling. In this article, we discuss the most iconic brands involved in the UK iGaming industry.

Bally’s Corporation

To consumers in the United Kingdom, Bally’s has been traditionally known as a maker of pinball and arcade machines. Yet, in the US, it is a behemoth of the casino industry, graduating from its manufacturing roots to a fully-fledged casino operator. It had its own casino on the Las Vegas strip, which later expanded. It then moved into the online casino space. Surprisingly, it only entered the United Kingdom market last year but has made a huge impression ever since.

The brand name is now owned by Twin River Worldwide Holdings, who have had a penchant for innovation. They managed to acquire the Fox Sports network and rebrand it as Bally Sports. As online operators, they have done extremely well by combining a great selection of games, along with security and attractive bonuses for customers. UK review site Casino Alpha places them in their top ten online casinos for United Kingdom customers, particularly when it comes to the provision of slots provided on the website.

Grosvenor Casino

Grosvenor Casino is a truly iconic brand with roots in the United Kingdom. They opened in 1970 and have expanded to around 53 land-based casinos, taking over other companies such as the Gala group. They also have operations in Belgium and Spain.

Today, they have a thriving online casino. Grosvenor has always been a company at the forefront of innovation. They were the first company to introduce pinball roulette machines to their establishments. In 2013 they joined with developers Evolution to become one of the first providers of live casino gaming online. This forward-thinking nature continues today.

Monopoly

Those new to casinos may be surprised to see Monopoly on the list. Originally a game based on the buying and selling of property, it is well known to cause huge disputes between friends and family. Originally owned by Parker Brothers Games, it was sold in 1991. Now under the umbrella of the Hasbro group, in the last few years, they have used the licence to forge a niche in the online gaming sphere.

This started with a range of Monopoly slot games. They later turned into fully-fledged live casino titles. These are where viewers enter into bonus rounds that use streaming technology and connect them to a host in a studio. They then become the star of their own show, where they can win cash prizes and multipliers. It proved extremely popular, and the next step was to venture into an online casino.

It is not the only time Hasbro has used Monopoly to focus the brand on a more adult audience. It has also opened a Monopoly Mansions hotel in Kuala Lumpur, which is a five-star 225-room hotel with a 1920s, great Gatsby-type theme to it.

All of these brands are instantly recognisable. However, there may be smaller casinos that provide just as good service. Check review sites and know what you want to find the ideal one for your needs.
