Can Trump and Harris’s horoscopes tell us who’ll win the election?

With America on edge as millions cast their votes in the US election, there is one fascinating correlation to this side of the Atlantic.

Our election was on the USA’s Independence Day, July 4, while theirs is on November 5, the day the infamous Gunpowder Plot in the UK was foiled at the Houses of Parliament in 1605.

And the palpable tension around the US election seems thick in the air, just like those firework pyrotechnics here.

It is the American people who will cast their votes and decide this election, but the complexity of the Electoral College is almost certain to hold sway, meaning whichever candidate snatches the popular vote, may not seize the ultimate prize.

So what does the Natal or more serious Astrology tell us about who will emerge victorious?

What are Trump and Harris’ star signs?

Donald Trump is a Sun Gemini, and Kamala Harris a Sun Libra, but while the Sun sign gives us a core identity – and clearly both are communicators, with their Air sign Suns – it really is the House that each planet lives in that’s key, because this is the stage of activity where it operates most vibrantly.

There are 12 astrological Houses based on the Earth’s 24-hour rotation, with each representing two hours of the Sun’s apparent movement in relation. When it comes to the presidential candidates, Donald Trump’s Sun is in the 10th House of success and public recognition, and Kamala Harris’s in the 5th of self-expression.

Their Ascendants – which show how people see us – are fascinating too. Kamala Harris is a Gemini Ascendant and yet conjunct (or side by side) the Point of Destiny (or astrological vertex). This combination is potentially immensely powerful and lucky. Donald Trump’s is on the last Degree of Leo, and conjunct a Fixed Star called Regulus, which confers authority and huge love of the limelight.

However, it is the Midpoint between the Sun and the Moon in our Natal Charts (the map of our exact moment of birth) which reveals the Yin/Yang of our personalities. Donald Trump’s is 22° in Virgo and Kamala Harris’s at just under 28° in Capricorn, so as much as they have Air Suns, the Earth element of both Virgo and Capricorn point towards material success.

The planets constantly move above, connecting to all the positions within our Natal Charts and triggering energies within or upon us. Jupiter, the planet of fortune, on the face of it, forges for Donald Trump, some helpful influences – not least to his Mars, the planet of action. Yet the moving Uranus, the great disruptor, and the planet of higher truths, is right on his 10th House cusp of success and connection to the wider world. This can create sudden changes and chaotic events.

Yet Pluto, the planet which is so much about change, transformation and karma, applies to Kamala Harris’s Midpoint and this could be crucial. Also, a current Opposition between Venus and Jupiter (two planets of opportunity) impact on Harris’s natal chart very well.

Whatever the outcome of this Election, Donald Trump’s evolving Chart – known as Secondary Progressions – is very challenging, suggesting the months to come could have implications for his well-being, and by the end of March 2025, it will be a seminal time for him in so many ways.

Meanwhile, Kamala Harris’s Progressed Astrology Chart is much more supportive of her hopes.

So, the American public and the Electoral College will decide this outcome, but the Astrology does favour Kamala Harris, particularly when it comes to the popular vote.
