Eva Longoria Addresses Report She Left United States After Donald Trump Election Win
Eva Longoria provided an update on moving away from the United States.
This week, the 49-year-old actress revealed that she and her family were currently living outside of the U.S. They now split their time between Mexico and Spain.
She cited multiple reasons for the move, noting that the chapter of her life in California was “done now.”
The revelation came shortly after Donald Trump won the election, which Eva also addressed in the interview. The timing prompted speculation that Eva moved because of political reasons, which she denied in follow-up remarks.

On Friday (November 15), she called her friend Ana Navarro while she was recording The View‘s Behind the Table podcast.
“Will you please let them know I didn’t move out of Spain because of [Donald] Trump,” Eva asked, via The Hollywood Reporter.
She noted that she’d “been in Europe working for almost three years,” which the interview also reported.
“People just grabbed some clickbait stuff to be divisive, which makes me so sad, you know. Everything you say is just meant to be divisive when we can’t be that way right now,” Eva continued.
She also reiterated that the reason for her move was work: “That’s why I’m in Europe. I didn’t leave because of the political environment. I left because my work took me there.”
