Kalen DeBoer’s first year at Alabama has been a bumpy ride.
The Crimson Tide began the 2024 campaign with four straight wins, including a signature victory over Georgia on Sept. 28. Then, Alabama went just 4-3 over its next seven games, falling to Vanderbilt, Tennessee and Oklahoma.
DeBoer’s squad ended the regular season with a 28-14 win over Auburn in the Iron Bowl, keeping its College Football Playoff hopes alive despite having a 9-3 overall record. In the latest CFP rankings, Alabama landed at No. 11, putting the Crimson Tide in the bracket — for now.

Alabama is off this week because it did not reach the SEC championship game. The Crimson Tide will next play in either a bowl game or the first round of the College Football Playoff.
In his latest projections, The Sporting News’ Bill Bender predicts that Alabama will face Ohio State in a CFP game on Dec. 21. If the Crimson Tide land in that slot, they would play a primetime game on ABC/ESPN. That matchup would also be available to stream on Fubo.
