Just two days after winning the Mountain West title, Boise State got some great news from the College Football Playoff committee.
The Broncos earned the No. 3 seed in the 2024 College Football Playoff bracket, giving Spencer Danielson’s squad an extended break before it competes in the Fiesta Bowl.
Boise State’s 21-7 victory over UNLV was a nice finishing touch on a 12-1 season. The Broncos didn’t have an elite strength of schedule compared to some other CFP contenders, but their only loss came against top-seeded Oregon back on Sept. 7, a 37-34 thriller that was decided by a last-second field goal.

Boise State playoff game tickets: Cheapest prices, best seats
Tickets for Boise State’s College Football Playoff quarterfinal game are available on StubHub.
As of Sunday, Dec. 8, the cheapest tickets were hovering around $220. There are still 100-level tickets available if you are searching for the best view, but obviously, those tickets are starting at a much higher price point.
When does Boise State play its playoff game?
- Bowl: Fiesta Bowl
- Date: Tuesday, Dec. 31
- Time: 7:30 p.m. ET
The 2024 Fiesta Bowl will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Dec. 31. The game will be played at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. Boise State will play the winner of the No. 6 Penn State vs. No. 11 SMU CFP quarterfinal game.
The winner of the Fiesta Bowl will then play in a College Football Playoff semifinal game on either Thursday, Jan. 9 or Friday, Jan. 10.
