Are we heading for World War 3? Here’s what Russia has warned the United States about

Russia warned the United States on Tuesday that World War Three would not be limited to Europe and claimed the West was playing with fire by thinking about allowing Ukraine to launch Western missiles deep into Russia.

In what is believed to be the largest foreign attack on Russia since World War Two, Ukraine attacked the western Kursk region of Russia on August 6 and took some territory. President Vladimir Putin promised that Russia would honourably respond to the attack. As Putin’s foreign minister for more than 20 years, Sergei Lavrov claimed that by considering Ukrainian requests to relax restrictions on using weapons supplied by other countries, the West was asking for trouble and attempting to intensify the conflict in Ukraine.

The president of Russia would contemplate using a nuclear weapon, according to its 2020 nuclear doctrine, when the very existence of the state is put under threat or in response to an attack utilizing conventional or nuclear weapons of mass destruction. Ukrainian President Zelenskiy criticized the Kremlin’s retaliation threats and urged allies to be bolder in aiding Kyiv in the war.
