Breeze Airways delays release of 2 nonstop routes from New Orleans to major US cities
Breeze Airways is delaying the launch of two separate routes from New Orleans to Las Vegas and Los Angeles due to “aircraft delivery constraints,” Breeze spokesperson Gareth Edmondson-Jones said Tuesday. The delays come after travelers already bought flight tickets.
Both routes were slated to begin in February 2025 and will instead be offered next fall.
In July, Breeze Airways announced the nonstop route from New Orleans to Las Vegas would be available on Feb. 5, 2025, less than a week before the Caesars Superdome hosts Super Bowl LIX. The airline was also going to re-launch its New Orleans to Los Angeles route on Feb. 19 of next year.
Both routes were scheduled to fly from MSY six times a week. Flights from New Orleans to Los Vegas would depart at 8:20 p.m. and arrive at 10:15 p.m., while flights from Las Vegas would leave at 11:59 p.m. and arrive at MSY at 6 a.m.
No other information regarding new exact launch dates or refunds for those who already bought plane tickets was immediately available.
