Gwyneth Paltrow Brings Her Coolest Sneakers to Paris Fashion Week
Paris Fashion Week is officially underway, and with it comes a deluge of glamour: people are dressed to the nines, supermodels overrun the streets, et cetera, et cetera. But Gwyneth Paltrow, not one to stray from her style, is abiding by the French method of dressing, shying away from the more ostentatious style that fashion week is known for.
It may only be the third day of fall, but the Goop founder strolled through the streets of Île-de-France in an autumnal outfit. She wore a simple black turtleneck from her brand G. Label and wide-legged indigo jeans which hit around her ankle. Paltrow kept warm with a double-breasted black G. Label peacoat and accessorized with a black cross-body bag and black Wayfarer sunglasses.
Like any smart tourist, Paltrow packed a pair of sensible walking shoes. Swerving away from the Sambas craze, she opted instead for a white Nike Cortez with black detailing. The shoes feel especially appropriate in the afterglow of the Olympics: originally designed as track shoes, Nike released the Cortez to the public in 1972 in conjunction with the Munich Games. While Gwyneth Paltrow may not be rushing to channel her inner track star, we’re certain that she can conquer a 10,000-plus step day in Paris.
