Week 4 of the high school football season saw some strong performances by area teams and players.

Eli Wolters, Holland
Freshman quarterback entered game midway through and threw two touchdown passes, including a 99-yard pass in a game against Belding.
Desmond Myaard, Holland Christian
Receiver caught three touchdown passes from Evan Abberger in a big win over Ottawa Hills as the Maroons improved to 4-0 for the first time since 2009.
Brooks Hawkins, Hamilton
Running back rushed for 78 yards and two touchdowns and also had 71 yards receiving, including another score as the Hawkeyes rolled past Wayland 35-0 and improved to 3-1.
Cass Stanberry, Saugatuck
Quarterback had 23 rushes for 195 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Trailblazers. He also had a passing touchdown as Saugatuck improved to 3-1.
Dylan Vruggink, West Ottawa
Reciever had nine catches for 112 yards and also rushed for 51 yards in a loss to East Kentwood.
Ely Schut, Fennville
Scored on a 75-yard pass from Carter Thompson in an 8-person game against Calvin Christian.
Brody Maas, Zeeland West
Had the big sack on fourth-and-goal to stymie a Zeeland East scoring drive and seal the Bird Bowl win for the Dux.
Coby Miller, Zeeland East
Had four catches for 121 yards and a touchdown against Zeeland West in the Bird Bowl, giving the Dux secondary trouble all game.
