Kamala Harris’ blue streak continued on Thursday in Chicago on the final day of the Democratic National Convention at the United Center in Chicago.
The Vice President accepted the Democratic party’s nomination for the presidency in a custom navy blue Chloé grain de poudre wool suit with matching trousers and a crepe de chine lavaliere blouse that featured tonal pinstripes. The look was designed by Chloé’s creative director Chemena Kamali.
“On behalf of everyone whose story could only be written in the greatest nation on Earth, I accept your nomination of president of the united states of America,” Harris told the crowd. “I will be a president who unites us… a president who is practical and has common sense and always fights for the American people, from the court house to the White House that has been my life’s work.”
Harris opened the convention on Monday in a tan pantsuit, also from French label Chloé, and has favored the silhouette throughout her term as Vice President.
In the audience, she was supported by her husband Doug Emhoff and stepdaughter Ella Emhoff, who wore Joe Ando. Performances included singer Pink, country stars The Chicks, and presenters included Eva Longoria, Kerry Washington and more.
