Laura Loomer forced to make groveling apology for attack on Trump’s AI advisor

Loomer, who has her news site called Loomered, started an online debate by criticizing Trump’s appointment of entrepreneur Sriram Krishnan as his senior policy adviser on artificial intelligence.

Loomer claimed that Krishnan’s previous support for eliminating green card caps to make it easier for skilled foreign workers to work in the US is in “direct opposition” to Trump’s policy.

Loomer claimed in a recent X post that Krishnan had donated to Democratic Presidential candidate Kamala Harris’ 2024 presidential campaign.

“Why did you donate to Kamala Harris’s Presidential Campaign less than one month before the 2024 Presidential election? You did even vote for Trump. Now you want to infiltrate his admin?” Loomer said.

She later posted on X on Sunday morning, apologizing for her posts.

“I deeply apologize for accidentally doxxing Sriram @sriramk by sharing public FEC records with his personal info. It was an honest mistake, and I take full responsibility. I’ve removed the post and I promise that I will be more careful in the future when I post FEC records,” she said.

DON’T MISS:

In the FEC records posted by her, a certain Sriram Krishnan donated over $1,000 to the Harris campaign and $10 to the ActBlue political action committee.

However, no evidence corroborates her claims that this is the FEC record for Trump’s advisor.

“I was not trying to inflict harm on anyone, & if @sriramk felt as though I was trying to ‘doxx’ him, I sincerely apologize for that. I promise I wasn’t doxxing & I believe more speech is the answer. Not less,” she wrote on Saturday, before tagging Musk in her post.

This seems to be a direct dig at Tesla and Space X CEO whom she accused of “full censorship” after her premium subscription of X was revoked after they sparred online over H-1B visas.

Loomer doubled down on her criticism of the visas while defending herself.

“I won’t apologize for my views on immigration but I wanted to make it very clear that as a journalist I was posting publicly available FEC records. Not doxxing. I know @elonmusk doesn’t care because he doesn’t like me, but I am telling the truth. FEC makes that clear too,” she tweeted on Saturday.

Tech entrepreneur David Sacks, too, defended Krishnan on X on Wednesday, saying, “Sriram [Krishnan] has been a U.S. citizen for a decade. He’s not ‘running America.’ He’s advising on A.I. policy. He will have no influence over U.S. immigration policy. These attacks have become crude, and not in the holiday spirit. I’m signing off now. Have a merry Christmas.”
