New data ranks GA in top 10 best states for business leaders

IN OTHER NEWS – New data using personality types ranks Georgia in the top 10 best states for business leaders in the United States.

Release:

New data highlights the best states for business leaders in the U.S.

The research, conducted by QR Code Generator, examined data on personality types based on a survey from 16Personalities. Initially, the most common types of entrepreneurial personalities were defined as ESTPs, ENTPs, ESTJs, ENTJs, INTJs, and ISTJs, due to sharing traits with well-known public figures in the business world, such as Steve Jobs and Jeff Bezos. The study also calculated the approximate percentage of the population with these personality types in each U.S. state. From this, the states with the highest percentage of people with these entrepreneurial personalities have been named in the top ten.

What are the most common entrepreneurial personality types?

It is important to note that all personality types can succeed in a business setting. A diverse and exciting business will be comprised of various personalities, whether they work in technology or human resources. However, it is also true that a large proportion of well-known business leaders share similar personality types.

1. The Entrepreneur (ESTP)

This personality type is extroverted, observant, thinking, and prospecting. They are often energetic, outgoing, and action oriented. Celebrated business owners that are thought to share this personality type include Ted Turner, founder of the Cable News Network (CNN), Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin Group, and Kevin Hart, comedian and founder of multiplatform production company HartBeat Productions (HBP).

2. The Debater (ENTP)

Debaters are extroverted, intuitive, thinking, and prospecting. In general, people with this personality type are perceptive, quick-thinking, and strategic. Co-founder of Alibaba Group, Jack Ma, founder of WeWork, Adam Neumann, and actor and founder of Wahlburgers, Mark Wahlberg are widely considered to be ENTPs.

3. The Executive (ESTJ)

Martha Stewart, founder of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Kylie Jenner, reality TV star and founder of Kylie Cosmetics, and Michael Strahan, co-founder of SMAC Entertainment are considered to be Executives. This personality type is characterized by extraversion, observation, thinking, and judging. Those with this MBTI are known to be great planners, just leaders, and efficient.

4. The Commander (ENTJ)

Commanders are great leaders, highly confident, and determined. The personality type is indicative of extraversion, intuition, thinking, and judging. Steve Jobs, founder of Apple, Michael Bloomberg, co-founder of Bloomberg L.P., and Machine Gun Kelly, singer and founder of UN/DN LAQR share this MBTI.

5. The Logistician (ISTJ)

Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon, Jessica Biel, actress and co-founder of Kinderfarms, and Paul Wesley, actor and co-founder of Brother’s Bond, are considered INTJs. This personality type – characterized by observation, thinking, and judging – is straight-forward, responsible, and organized.

6. The Architect (INTJ)

Architects are rational, analytical, and intelligent; they are defined as introverted, intuitive, thinking, and judging. This personality type is seen in successful business leaders worldwide. For example, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, Mark Zuckerberg, co-founder of Facebook and the Meta Platforms, and Jay-Z, musician, producer, and founder of Roc Nation.

U.S. states with the highest percentage of business leaders

New York takes the crown as the best state for entrepreneurs. Out of a population of 19.5 million, approximately 4.3 million people have these personality types. From this, the study shows that 22.16% of people in the state have a business-oriented personality, 9.9% above the national average in America.

In second place is Florida. With a population of 22.6 million, approximately 5 million people share personality traits that make great business leaders. This works out as 22.12% of Floridians, 9.7% above the national benchmark.

Nevada takes the bronze medal. Over 700,000 people have business-related personalities in the state, according to the study. In total, this is 22.05% of the population, 9.4% above the average throughout America.

Maryland is the fourth-best state for entrepreneurs in America. Out of a population of 6.1 million,1.35 million are estimated to have a business-oriented personality, meaning 21.97% of Maryland have personality types well suited as business leaders. Therefore, people in Maryland are 9% more likely to be business leaders.

According to the study, Texas ranks in fifth place. With 6.6 million out of 30.5 million people sharing entrepreneurial personality types, 21.88% of the state’s population are natural business leaders, 8.5% more than the national average in the U.S.

In sixth place, with 21.81% of the state’s population being classed as business leaders, is Georgia. Over 11 million people live in Georgia and 2.4 million were found to have entrepreneurial personalities. As such, Georgians are 8.2% more likely to thrive in management positions.

Louisiana is the seventh-best state for business leaders in America. In total, more than 900,000 people have these business-oriented MBTIs. Altogether, this works out as 21.79% of the population, 8.1% above the national average in America.

On the other hand, Utah has the lowest percentage of entrepreneur personality types in the study. Out of 3.4 million, under 600,000 have business-oriented personalities; 16.87% and 16.2% below the average in the U.S.

The study shows that 17.52% of people in Hawaii are business-minded, 13% less than the average of other states in America. This works out as 250,000 of 1.4 million people in the Aloha State.

Maine, with 17.96% of people having a business personality type, ranks third. Vermont is the fourth worst state for entrepreneurs in America, with 18.10%, followed by Idaho in fifth, with 18.27%.

Marc Porcar, CEO of QR Code Generator PRO S.L, has commented on the findings: “A well-appointed business leader can transform any business by offering guidance, inspiring innovation, and building a support system. While it is important to have a diverse range of personalities working in a company, hiring managers may choose to look out for similar qualities within business leaders, including determination, confidence, perceptiveness, and strategic thinking.

“This study has highlighted the states with the highest percentage of business leaders, with ENTP being the most popular MBTI throughout the study. New York, the world’s financial capital, has understandably come out on top. It is interesting, however, to see Utah rank as the worst state for entrepreneurs, considering Salt Lake City is one of the leading tech markets in the U.S. From this, Utah businesses should take note and harness such personality analyses to better understand their workforce and streamline operations.”
