NFL picks, predictions for Week 13: Washington Commanders vs. Tennessee Titans | Sporting News
The Tennessee Titans and Washington Commanders will do battle at Northwest Stadium on Sunday. The Titans are looking to notch their first winning streak of the season, while the Commanders are trying to end their first losing streak.
The Titans have a head of steam going into this contest for a few reasons. Not only did they upset their division rivals, the Houston Texans, in Week 12, they have also seen much better play from quarterback Will Levis, who was a disaster in the first half of the season.
Meanwhile, the Commanders have lost three straight and went from sitting atop the NFC East a few weeks ago to clinging to the final playoff spot in the conference entering Week 13.
Based on the overall showings from the Titans and Commanders this season, you can probably already guess which way the majority of experts are going with their predictions. Let’s see if anyone goes against the grain and picks the Titans.
NFL picks, predictions Week 13: Commanders vs. Titans
Vinnie Iyer, Sporting News: Commanders 27, Titans 20
Iyer: “The Commanders couldn’t lose a fourth straight game, could they? They have gotten through the meat of their schedule, and this sets up the ideal end to the skid at home. The Titans can’t and won’t be taken lightly, as Jayden Daniels and the defense need to finish the job for a much-needed win to stop the side out of a wild-card spot.”
Bill Bender, Sporting News: Commanders 26, Titans 16
Bender: “The Commanders are riding a three-game losing streak, and Jayden Daniels has taken 10 sacks in those games. It’s been a different problem each week, and it was turnovers in Week 12. Tennessee has that problem, too, despite the upset against Houston in Week 13. Daniels gets back on track ahead of a much-needed bye week.”
Jeremy Cluff, Arizona Republic: Commanders 27, Titans 14
Cluff: “The Commanders, who started the season 7-2, are suddenly 7-5 and clinging to a wild-card playoff berth. This is the perfect opportunity for Jayden Daniels and Washington to get back on track.”
Sayre Bedinger, NFL Spin Zone: Commanders 26, Titans 23
Bedinger: “There are a lot of teams clawing and jockeying for playoff positioning in the NFC right now and the Commanders need a win in the worst way to keep pace. I think they will get it, but it might be another nail-biter and too close for their fans’ liking.”
Pete Prisco, CBS Sports: Commanders 24, Titans 21
Prisco: “The Commanders suddenly don’t look like the same team, especially on offense. The Titans are coming off an impressive road victory against the Texans. The Commanders lost at home to Dallas last week. They won’t lose two in a row, but this will be close.”
