President of Guatemala will travel to the United States – Prensa Latina
At a press conference at the National Palace of Culture last Friday, the head of state explained that, during the two-day visit, he would meet with investors on the first day.
Arévalo highlighted that the idea “is to develop a conversation focused on the economic potential of Guatemala and how it can be supported,” referring to Citibank, a global entity with branches in more than 30 countries.
According to the released agenda, the president will meet on Tuesday with the members of the United Nations Peace-building Commission, which is formed by 31 States elected by the General Assembly, the Security Council, and the Economic and Social Council, which offers its contribution to efforts in achieving peace in territories affected by conflict.

At the end of last March, the president of Guatemala made his first official visit to the United States, where he met with his counterpart Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris Arévalo participated in the session of the Permanent Council of the Organization of American States, and met with the Administrator of the Agency for International Development, Samantha Power.
