Real Madrid will enter the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup as one of the favourites to win the new expanded tournament.

Los Blancos qualified as one of the UEFA Champions League winners during the period from 2021 to 2024, and their status as arguably the grandest club in the world is likely to draw huge crowds when they compete in the United States in June and July next year.

Carlo Ancelotti’s team may not have enjoyed the best first few months of the 2024/25 season, but there is still plenty of time for them to recover consistent form and challenge for top honours before heading to the Club World Cup looking to extend their record as the most successful side in the old tournament’s history.

When does the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 start?

The FIFA Club World Cup will take place in the summer of 2025 in the United States, with the group stage to begin on June 14, 2025, with Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami playing Al Ahly in the opening match at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium.

The tournament will progress for the subsequent month, with the top two teams from the eight groups of four progressing to the knockout stage and the Round of 16. The final will take place on July 13, 2025 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Where will Real Madrid play their 2025 Club World Cup games?

Group Stage

Madrid’s opening game will be against Al Hilal at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium.

They then head to Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium to face Pachuca on Matchday 2, and then Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field to take on Salzburg.

Knockout Stage

If Madrid finish top of their group, they will play their Round of 16 game back in Miami on July 1, then a possible quarterfinal at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Should they qualify as runners-up, they will face the winners of Group G at Camping World Stadium in Orlando on June 30, with a potential quarterfinal at the same venue.

Both semifinals and final take place at MetLife Stadium.
