United Cup prize money: How much players earn, total pool, winnings and rankings points for 2025 | Sporting News India

The United Cup has returned to Sydney and Perth as the new tennis season kicks off in Australia.

Players are competing in national teams at the event, with singles and mixed doubles matches scheduled.  

There is also be some notable prize money and ATP/WTA rankings points on offer.

The Sporting News provides a breakdown of the winnings up for grabs.

United Cup prize money: Winnings breakdown

A minimum of US$11,170,000 (approx. AU$17,991,317) in prize money has been committed to the United Cup in 2025 – split evenly between WTA and ATP players

Players will receive a participation fee and can secure further winnings with results on the court. Payments vary depending on world rankings and the level of an opponent.

Prize money is also dictated by a player’s standing within their team. They are designated either No. 1, 2 or 3 coming into the event.

United Cup rankings points: How are they allocated?

Both WTA and ATP players will be eligible for rankings points.

The amount of points earned from a win will be determined by an opponent’s current ranking.
