Webster Vienna Private University (WVPU) recently hosted two high-profile events which
assessed the global implications of the 2024 United States election results.
United States Ambassador to Austria Victoria Reggie Kennedy and Pulitzer Prize-winning
author Doris Kearns Goodwin addressed a large crowd at Palais Wenkheim, followed a
few days later by a discussion with WVPU’s Samuel R. Schubert, PhD, and Bradley Wiggins,
PhD, as well as Erin K. Jenne, PhD, of Central European University (CEU).
“Webster Vienna has served as a platform for political outreach and diplomacy for
more than 40 years. The university represents American values and offers an American-style
education in the heart of Europe. Events such as these elections panels foster meaningful
public discussions that are a service to the international community,” said Schubert,
Webster Vienna’s associate director.
“Webster Vienna looks forward to building upon and expanding its great cooperation
with the U.S. Embassy in Austria for years to come,” Schubert said.

and assessed the political and social implications of the recent U.S. presidential
election results.
