What Fictional Games Would Be Popular at Online Casinos?

Going by that logic, then we can say for sure that Sabacc would get an audience at online casinos, and quite a big one at that. As things stand right now, blackjack and baccarat are two of the biggest card games in the world. If they were to compete with Sabacc, then we can say for certain that there would be three well-known banking card games played at online casinos.

Star Trek Poker

Often viewed as the biggest competitor to the Star Wars franchise, the Star Trek series is just as iconic, if not more so. In the various television shows following the different crews of the Starship Enterprise the crew members often play “a game once played on Earth.” Star Trek poker, for those who have not seen the show, is just 5-card Stud poker.

So, would Star Trek poker be popular at online casinos? Well, it already is. So much so that there are entire websites dedicated exclusively to playing poker online. In fact, there are even world tournaments specifically for online poker players. In other words, poker already is popular, and we don’t believe that will change, even in the distant future that the Star Trek series takes place in.

Triad

BattlestarGalactica is yet another famous science fiction television franchise, which follows the lives of the Galactica crew, as well as the survivors that they are transporting. Though the crew has to face off against incredible odds, they always manage to make it back alive for a friendly game of Triad. But, just what is Triad?

From what we can gleam, Triad is some sort of futuristic version of poker, played with hexagonal cards. The rules seem to be the same, with the sole exception that different winning combos are worth more in the game. For example, in poker, four aces is the strongest hand. However, in Triad, full-color seems to be the strongest.

Last Thoughts

Online gambling will very likely continue to grow in popularity in the future. With recent innovations in tech, we might just see some of these websites adopt the fictional games brought up in this article. Of course, if copyright law will allow them to.
