When Donald Trump threatened to jail Facebook founder Zuckerberg and prosecute Google to calling CEO Sundar Pichai “a great guy” – Times of India

Donald Trump is set to become the 47th president of the United States of America. Trump, who won the US presidential election earlier this week, released a coffee table book titled ‘Save America’ in September. The book is a compilation of photographs, stories, and memories from Trump’s first tenure as president and his presidential campaigns.
As per Amazon’s description of the book, it provides “an unparalleled look into his four years as the 45th President of the United States, and a vision for his next term!” The book showcases “major themes and accomplishments, including record-breaking trade negotiations, tax cuts, international diplomacy, and Border security.”
In the book, Trump also vowed to investigate and prosecute some political rivals, left-wing Americans and a few others if he becomes president again. The list includes some from the technology industry as well.

Will send Mark Zuckerberg to prison for “rest of his life”

Trump criticizes Facebook parent Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Google over what he described as potential election interference on their tech platforms in the book. Trump has accused Meta and its platforms — Facebook and Instagram — of suppressing content that would have hurt outgoing US president Joe Biden in the 2020 election. He further slams Zuckerberg’s donations to bolster election infrastructure.
“We are watching him closely, and if he does anything illegal this time he will spend the rest of his life in prison,” Trump reportedly wrote in the ‘Save America’ coffee table book, according to media reviews of the book.
In the book, Trump has also reportedly threatened to instruct the Department of Justice to criminally investigate Google for “only revealing and displaying bad stories about Donald J. Trump,” according to a Truth Social post last month. “I will request their prosecution, at the maximum levels, when I win the Election,” Trump wrote.

“Btw, Sundar is a great guy”

While Trump may have threatened to prosecute Google and Meta CEO in the book, his relationship with both the company as well as Zuckerberg appears to have improved in the last leg of his election campaigning.
Zuckerberg openly praised Donald Trump for bravery after assassination attempt on him. Facebook founder posted on social media that Trump’s reaction to being shot at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, was “Badass.”
He also mentioned Google CEO Sundar Pichai calling him after his Mac Donald’s visit. Donald Trump has claimed that Google CEO Sundar Pichai called him to compliment his recent visit to McDonald’s. “I did McDonald’s last week and I actually got a call from Sundar (Pichai),” Donald Trump said during an appearance on the Joe Rogan podcast. “He said, ‘This is the biggest thing we’ve had in years.’”
Trump continued, “Sundar, who’s a great guy by the way, said, ‘This McDonald’s thing, I want to tell you, it’s one of the biggest things we’ve ever had on Google. It just hit.’”
