Thomas Matthew Crooks was identified as the 20-year-old who fired a gun during Donald Trump’s Pennsylvania rally, the New York Post reported citing sources. The media outlet added that Crooks was was planted on a roof of a manufacturing plant more than 130 yards away from the stage at Butler Farm Show grounds. The Secret Service, which is leading the investigation, has not confirmed the identity of the suspect yet.

According to The NY Post, Crooks is based out of Bethel Park in Pennsylvania. He shot from the roof of a building outside the rally. One shot grazed Trump in the ear. The former president is ‘okay’ and received medical attention, his campaign and the Secret Service confirmed.

Law enforcement recovered an AR-style rifle at the scene, the Associated Press reported citing a person familiar with the matter. The person was not authorized to discuss details of the investigation.
